(Almost forgot this! I actually made it on Wednesday. I'm trying to get into a rhythm.)

Technology
On Monday, Hewlett-Packard announced the new HP-86 microcomputer. The 86-A has 64kb of RAM and has a built-in interface for a printer and two floppy drives. The 86-B has a whopping 128kb of RAM and an HP-IB port. Both machines have an external monitor. The machine's operating system interprets the BASIC programming language. The machines sell for $1,795.
Entertainment
Today saw the release of "Six Pack". The comedy adventure stars Kenny Rogers as race car driver Brewster Baker, who befriends a group of child thieves who help him to get his racing career back off the ground.
Also today was released "Young Doctors In Love", a comedy movie that is a parody of the soap opera "General Hospital".
On Tuesday, the Major League Baseball All Star Game was broadcast by ABC. The game was held in Montreal, making it the first of the famous Midsummer Classic to be held outside of the United States. The game ended with a 4-1 victory for the National League.

This is a not-quite-official announcement of the Discord server I just created. Completely free. Don't need to be a supporter on Locals. Don't even need to be a member.
It's definitely not a secret that this community hasn't been active since Matt Hartley hasn't been involved. I think there are a few reasons why (one being that I had a lot less time to devote to it than I realized), and I think that making a completely free alternative would help, and I unfortunately don't think I can do that on Locals! You have to pay if you want to post. Discord should be free (unless I did it wrong).
Feel free to come join! It's still kind of experimental at this point, and I don't know how well I'll handle content moderation, which will probably be the biggest challenge.
